A film about women regression based in the rural set-up of India has been done to death. Writer director Leena Yadav tries her level best to add some newness to the concept but somehow the ‘wow’ factor is missing.
Surveen Chawla pulls the carpet from below the feet of talented co-actors Tannishta Chaterjee and Radhika Apte. The latter is still hung-up on her Marathi accent which is evident. Adil Hussain is somehow wasted in the film.
When a film wins so many awards, your expectations are high. Somehow Parched failed to evoke the emotions due to repetitive scenes.
