Scam case of Rs. 250 crores registered against Genelia



An FIR against Genelia D’Souza and five others has been ordered by Hyderabad court following a complaint lodged by Mr. Tirupataiah. In his complaint, Mr. Tirupataiah said that he has paid Rs. 54 lakhs to construct a duplex house at Maheswaram mandal on the outskirts of the city to the five directors of a real-estate firm as well as its brand ambassador- Genelia.

Mr. Tirupataiah paid the money for the construction of his duplex house in 2008 but till date it has not been done. “Being the brand ambassador of the firm, Genelia also made false promises through advertisements and brochures and cooperated with other accused in cheating,” the plot buyers Tirupathaiah’s counsel Balaji Vadera claimed.

Following the complaint, the court directed Saifabad police to inquire the matter and also to register a case against Genelia and five others for cheating under relevant sections of IPC. The court has asked all the five to submit a report by March 27.

The scam is reportedly of a whopping Rs.250 crores. There has been no reaction from Genelia’s side.
